Job Description Job Overview:
As a leader within the Strategy Unit you will enable the IRC to put its new strategy into action. We work on projects ranging from helping the organization to measure and improve its performance to identifying solutions to enable rapid growth in our program offices, and your work will spread far and wide within IRC. Ultimately, the Strategy Unit works to help IRC deliver greater impact for those who we work with and serve, including more than 19 million people worldwide affected by conflict and crisis. The Associate Director of Strategy will oversee and provide strategic planning and problem solving support on projects aligned to the top priorities of the IRC. This role will lead tight-knit teams, managing and mentoring other team members. You will quickly break down and structure problems and iterate rapidly towards evidence-based solutions. Working closely with senior staff across IRC, you will facilitate often difficult conversations and important decisions. This position requires strong problem solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, a high level of personal initiative, and the ability to work well in a highly multicultural environment. Responsibilities:
Oversee project delivery across multiple complex projects, taking ownership for timely, high-quality delivery; scope the work, drive to solutions, and surface and quickly resolve roadblocks as they arise Support the generation of actionable insights and evidence-based user-centric solutions, informed by best practices, analysis and extensive consultation with IRC staff Provide leadership to team to solve ambiguous, complex problems and facilitate structured problem-solving sessions with Strategy Unit members and IRC stakeholders Validate findings and recommendations with senior stakeholders, facilitating decision making and consensus building meetings on challenging topics Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization and provide support and advisory to senior stakeholders as needed Lead project teams, comprised of Strategy Unit members and often IRC subject matter experts; assign responsibilities, review work for quality, and sharpen the thinking Direct line management of one or several colleagues at the Analyst and Manager level (will vary depending on the composition of the Unit) Acts as member of the Strategy Unit Leadership Team together with the Chief Strategy Officer , managing the team and project pipeline Curate a positive, collaborative, efficient team working environment where team members enjoy working with each other, feel able to do impactful work and grow professionally over time, including through regular developmental feedback Job Requirements:
Work / Educational
Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent 7-10 years of relevant work experience, at least three of which in a strategy or project management role, with gradually increasing responsibilities and a track record of high performance. Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
Repeated experience in executing strategic change and organizational change management Repeated experience in project managing large-scale, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to deliver on time and make progress against multiple simultaneous demands Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to structure and creatively solve complex problems Experience working effectively with and advising stakeholders at all levels, especially senior leadership Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as, an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications Strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills with senior leadership Highly collaborative and able ability to work independently in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure Repeated experience managing successful project teams and coaching more junior team members Ability to respond enthusiastically and positively to ambiguity, be resilient to shifting priorities and setbacks, and be comfortable with imperfect analysis and solutions Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite Preferred experience & skills:
Experience in a strategy role at either a strategy consulting firm, or in the strategy development function of a global organization An MBA or a Master's degree in international development, human rights or another field related to the IRC's work Experience in a humanitarian or development organization, or similar Knowledge of French, Arabic or Spanish Working Environment:
Standard office working environment Some international travel This role may require working remotely full or part time and part time remote employees may be required to share workspace
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
