he Director of New Business reports to the VP of Business Development and is responsible for closing new business as well as renewals for current clients. Target customers include advertising agencies, broadcasters, digital publishers, other media companies, and advertisers. We are looking for an outgoing, aggressive, analytical sales professional who can identify new revenue opportunities, close new business, and build good, long-term relationships with current clients. RESPONSIBILITIES Procure new business by achieving aggressive revenue targets Manage current sales portfolio of agency, advertiser, and media accounts with renewals and upsell Develop and conduct effective sales presentations that demonstrate the services of the Nielsen Planning products to clients and prospects. Prepare and send out proposals and contracts to clients Study the market to identify potential business opportunities and prospect your territory QUALIFICATIONS At least 5-7 years of advertising agency/ media industry experience in a selling, buying, research, or planning capacity, with a minimum of 2-4 years in sales. Strong rolodex of media contacts and a track record of successfully selling high value, sophisticated media products is a plus Ability to prospect, pitch and close sales Highly analytical, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple clients, tasks and responsibilities concurrently Deep understanding of the ad industry Very high drive to succeed in a competitive and fast-paced market Ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills Preferably East coast based but will consider other locations. Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Sales Management & Operations, Business DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
