Shake Shack is fast-paced and growing restaurant brand looking for a passionate and dynamic Senior Director of Regional Marketing to join our highly-collaborative team. This role will report to the CMO and be a key member of our Marketing leadership team, leading our local marketing strategy and a large and growing group of remote field marketing teammates across the United States This is a role for someone who embodies community, local culture, and has a proven record of building strong relationships while defining strategies and tactics that drive brand and sales. We are in search of a creative, entrepreneurial and results driven marketer to lead our regional marketing efforts in collaboration with the marketing leadership team, culinary, and insights and analytics team. On a day-to-day basis, the Director of Regional Marketing will strategize, coach and oversee the Regional Marketing (Field) team, as well as work closely with the Marketing and Operations teams across over 200 domestic Shacks. Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy, Planning and Execution Lead Shake Shack local marketing vision and planning with the objective to deepen our community relationships, create elevated experiences, and highlight our premium ingredients Ensure brand standards are met consistently by oversight of marketing communications to our Operators Drive next level marketing for the brands corporate responsibility communications, by helping the team learn how to apply the corporate responsibility lens through all marketing efforts Develop and drive regional marketing campaigns to the array of Shack communities/guests that support the brand communications and drive traffic and sales Constantly ideate, create, and develop local marketing programs that drive brand and/or traffic through testing localized sales and traffic driving programming and promotions Ensure merchandising and visuals in the Shacks are strategically developed and placed while obsessing over the guest journey and helping Operators think through a marketing lens Lead new market launch and ongoing opening strategy for domestic markets Work in close partnership with Operations leadership to understand operational capabilities and/or limitations Collaborate with Brand and Communication teams on national strategy and communicate out to Regional Marketing team to facilitate campaign execution at the regional level Work closely with Brand, Communication and Digital teams to develop regionalized campaigns through owned channels, including:
PR, social, email, mobile/web, advertising, brand partnerships. Consumer Insights Report on regional trends and be the voice of the field, ensuring the company thinks about the local marketing issues and opportunities. Partner with Finance and Data Insights teams to develop tools that better equip Regional Marketing team with resources that help them perform successfully in their role Team Leadership
Management Manage and develop a growing team of outstanding, data-driven Regional Marketing Managers across the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Southwest, Midwest, West Coast and Northeast Create a vision for the regional marketing team and provide leadership to build effective cross-functional partnerships that generate results Balance keeping the team accountable to goals, plans and budget while cultivating a supportive learning environment to drive their ability to apply their creativity, discretion and judgment to accomplish their best work Coach Regional Marketing team building impactful relationships with restaurant leadership, as well as Shake Shack home office Marketing, Culinary and Supply teams Oversee project timelines and budgets, sharing timely recaps on campaigns, events, openings, and programming with Shake Shack leadership and Regional Directors of Operations Budgeting and Reporting Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecast updates to optimize marketing investments Accountable for budget and providing monthly and quarterly performance of spend and ROI Skills & Knowledge Bachelor's Degree in marketing or a related field A good balance of creativity and analytic skills Possesses a strong ability to develop and lead a team through coaching, training and mentoring Has a nimble, start-up mentality, possessing the ability to manage multiple projects and act quickly and effectively to pivot based upon the state of the business Hungry to test and learn local promotions and grassroots community outreach Able to develop high-level marketing strategies and a strong understanding of the technical, financial and operations of the industry Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience 10
years of relevant marketing experience 6
years in management roles 6
years of experience working for a premium consumer brand Demonstrated ability to partner and influence cross functionality Experience with managing regional marketing (or field marketing) restaurant or retail industry preferred Ability to engage with the marketing leadership team and home office leadership team for strategy and execution Strong personal connection to local culture and restaurants
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Brand Marketing & ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
