Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Manager. In this role, the successful candidate provides administrative leadership and intermediate problem solving in support of departments research program and mission. Provides lifecycle pre and post award research administration ensuring the fulfillment of all grant &/or contract & compliance requirements. Manages overall day to day research administration activities. Ensures that all activities are completed in compliance with associated local, state, federal and institutional rules and regulations. Responsibilities:
Identifies new funding opportunities and sources for research grants. Works with Principal Investigator to prepare grant proposals. Initiates and manages grants. Collects and submits required documents. Trains Research Coordinators on grant submission process and delegates work to ensure deadlines are met. Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the research studies and study rationale. Works with the Principal Investigator and Lead Research Coordinators to monitor overall conduct of the study. Maintains budgeting and fiscal monitoring of clinical trials to ensure that revenue related to enrollment are received and match contracts. Provide internal consulting to management and administration on planning, acquisition, and use of research and service tools and clearly communicates expectations to all project team members. Might identify new potential sponsors/agents for trials and researches and participate in the development of protocols as assigned. Works with division leadership to provide suggestions on where to focus efforts and development of execution strategies for various projects/programs. Ensures compliance with all appropriate NYU policies and practices, agency and sponsor rules, regulations and requirements regarding grant and/or contract administration. Resolves compliance problems & issues working in conjunction with Principal Investigators. Manages the MS PATHS (Multiple Sclerosis Partners Advancing Technology and Health Solutions) project, including planning, preparation, organization, analyses, and coordination of the use of technology to collect standardized patient data. Recruits, hires, and trains research staff, student interns, or volunteers dedicated to the project. Works with Office Supervisor and Nursing Coordinator to implement new clinic workflow integrating MSPATHS technology, including patient communication, space for assessment, and protocols for consenting patients in clinic. Responsible for budget management and resources allocation. Coordinates special technical trainings related to the project, specifically related to project technology and data collection/record keeping. Manages and communicates project activities with concerned parties, including vendors and staff. Acts as liaison between MS Division and Neurology department regarding research and research finance. Works directly with Assistant Directors/Directors and staff members of various departments to ensure best research practice. Assists with Patient Program planning, including identifying funding opportunities. Initiates and manages these opportunities throughout the process, including grants and foundation awards. Assists with management of several special purpose funds. Supports fundraising efforts for the Pediatric MS Center and projects across the disease lifespan. Supports Pediatric MS Center research and patient program planning. Direct Supervision of Research staff. Evaluates and counsels staff. Minimum
Qualifications:
To qualify you must have three to five years experience in administering grants or research projects, preferably within an academic health center and a Masters degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or MBA. Working knowledge of the fundamentals of clinical and non-clinical research preferred. This position requires the ability to exercise independent judgment, the use of sophisticated problem solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with personnel from a variety of levels within and outside the Medical Center.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Program ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
