Summary:
The Transplant Program Manager leads clinical operations, compliance and quality improvement of the respective organ group (kidney & pancreas, liver). The Manager reports directly to the Director of Transplant Operations of the NYU Langone Transplant Institute and has a reporting relationship to the Sr. Director of Nursing to ensure linkage to NYU Langone Nursing and to facilitate appropriate oversight of advanced practitioners. The Manager provides direct management and supervision of the nursing and administrative support personnel; develops and implements policies and procedures to optimize workflow and ensure patient satisfaction; partners with the medical and surgical directors to lead program initiatives and quality assessment and performance improvement activities; coordinates with multidisciplinary ancillary staff; maintains familiarity with local and federal regulations for transplantation, advanced therapies for end stage organ disease; and assists with all of the programs' marketing and outreach pursuits. The Manager will also maintain clinical practice through coverage of patient care responsibilities including but not limited to covering staff during absences. The Manager may also participate as part of a team that provides 24 hour on call coverage including patient calls, organ offers and transplant surgery scheduling. For liver transplant, this position will include oversight living donor liver team and of hepatology. For kidney transplant, this position will include oversight of living donor kidney team. Additionally, any advanced end stage organ disease program may be incorporated. Additional Position

Qualifications:
Current registration as a Professional Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State, Master's Degree in Nursing or related field; at least four years of transplant experience; effective leadership skills; self-directed; able to work independently; excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; creative problem solving and critical thinking ability, understanding of complex clinical care protocols; ability to manage nursing and non-nursing personnel; familiarity with state and federal regulations related to organ transplantation. Preferred
Qualifications:
Previous experience in organ donation, organ transplantation, end stage organ disease or advanced practice critical care. Previous management/supervisory experience. CCTC Certification, membership in ITNS and/or NATCO desirable. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
