Responsibilities:
Works with Clinical Faculty in the Department of Otolaryngology to identify needs for database construction and develops design for data capture and analysis according to division-specific protocols. Manages research binders and clinical trial documents in accordance with requirements of applicable regulatory bodies (IRB, FDA, OSR, etc) Performs QA on all Departmental data in existing Dashboards and databases and recommends edits and updates as necessary. Is responsible for editing Data and obtaining missing information prior to data entry in departmental-designed databases As applicable, oversee the submission of necessary documents required by the NYU Institutional Board (IRB), NYU Office of Clinical Trials and any other appropriate parties in order to obtain approval to conduct human subjects research (e.g., ensures the update and submission of necessary documents and/or forms to appropriate destination). Might prepare, audit and submit monthly enrollment statistics to the Office of Clinical Trials, and provides other information in timely manner, as necessary. Leads the analytics team on any research study involving epidemiology and evidence-based practice approaches. Works to scrub data for consistency, select eligible patients according to given inclusion/exclusion criteria and initiates the modeling and building of study-specific databases. Designs and applies analytical strategies for all value-based medicine (VBM) initiatives in the department. Works with administrators to identify coverage gaps and perform root cause analyses for the purposes of improving patient care, reducing length of stay, enhancing diversity and inclusion and lowering hospital readmission rates. Utilizes existing databases and dashboards to report staffing metrics for all clinical services (inpatient and outpatient) and suggests strategies for redesigning or augmenting staff assignments to improve patient care and maximize clinical efficiency. Resolves operational/data problems in consultation with other employees and/or supervisors. Suggests and implements strategies for improving data presentation and utilization in departmental analytics, annual reports and strategic plans. Collects and audits patient information for research project(s). This may include abstraction of data from the patient chart (e.g., laboratory or diagnostic test results, surgical/radiation treatments delivered, adverse drug reactions, etc); abstraction of data for publications, or data collection from outside physicians offices. Audits and manages data from and into the database. Prepares forms and reports, compiles and analyses data, statistics, and other materials for reports. Works with medical terminology and descriptions for a smooth data entry process Manages priority of projects and ensures completion of assignments within established timelines. Maintains accurate enrollment logs and patient data entry logs. Works independently, recognizes and identifies problems and discusses it with his supervisor as needed. To qualify you must have a Masters Degree in public Health or statistics, plus 1-2 years of related experience in an academic medical or public health center. Must have experience with data analysis and programming (SAS). Preferred

Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
