In this role, the successful candidate, reporting directly to a Senior Campaign Director, the Senior Director of Development, Long Island Region is a highly visible and critical role within the NYULH Office of Development & Alumni Affairs. This new position is ideal for a proven and confident fundraiser, who is highly motivated to work collaboratively in pursuit of enterprise strategic development goals. It will require a candidate with superior relationship skills and demonstrated success in building organizational capacity and increasing revenue. The Senior Director will serve as a thought leader and strategic partner as NYULH continues to expand its healthcare services in Long Island. The Senior Director will develop and drive the strategy leading the team to identify new donors and upgrade current donors with a focused goal of expanding fundraising efforts through Major and Planned gifts from grateful patients and unaffiliated community members. To date, philanthropic support for NYULH in Long Island has primarily existed through an events, community based approach. Understanding the importance of community engagement for this group, The Senior Director of Development will work with the Community Engagement and Experiences Teams to develop strategies to encourage community members of all ages and community organizations to engage with us in creative and meaningful ways. The Senior Development Director, Long Island Region will manage and recruit members of the Long Island Advisory Board. The position will strategically guide their efforts in fundraising to support the NYULH expansion into the LI Region. The Senior Development Director, Long Island Region will build and manage a portfolio of constituents capable of making major gifts in the five, six and seven figure range and will carry out the fundraising process from identification and cultivation to solicitation to stewardship. This position will engage NYULH leadership and faculty on Long Island and partner with them to raise new philanthropic support for both the LI Region and overall enterprise. Establish supportive and cooperative working relationships with gift officers across the enterprise, share best practices and new ideas, and collaborate on donor cultivation when possible. Collaborate with the AVP for Giving and Senior Campaign Directors on the management of select high-capacity donors, including support for meeting preparation and follow up and partner with them to manage a small pool of eight-figure donors. To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree. 10-14
years of relevant experience including 5 years of management experience. Must have a history of success in building a pipeline from upgraded and new donors. Familiarity with the Long Island philanthropic community. Successful experience soliciting five to seven figure gifts. Deep understanding of key principles of major gift fundraising and moves management. Exceptional written and verbal communications skills. Be a self-starter with the ability to work alone and in a team. Proven leadership, management, communication and organizational skills. Experience in designing and executing comprehensive fundraising processes and procedure. Successful track record in soliciting and closing major and planned gifts. Experience in developing community outreach strategies that provide engagement opportunities for community members and organizations, i.e. Student involvement. Experience working with institutional leadership, principal gifts donors and trustees. Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team. Ability to interact professionally with all levels of diverse public. Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments, meet deadlines and fundraising goals. Self-motivated, strong initiative and results oriented. Knowledge of software applications, including MS Word, Excel and CRM database. Performs other duties as assigned. Preferred

Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
