This position will serve as an HR Partner in our Headquarters, to step in with as-needed HR Business Partner activities and simultaneously work on short and medium-term special HR projects. Our vibrant global Headquarters which is comprised of a team of 1,200
staff in departments focused on Facilities, Finance, Gender Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, General Counsel, Global Supply Chain, HR, IT, Research & Innovation, President's Office and Strategy Unit, continues to see exponential growth and change. Additionally, we are rapidly expanding and redefining our External Relations Unit, also part of HQ and currently comprised of 350 staff around the world who are responsible for business development, fundraising, marketing, communications, board engagement, policy and advocacy. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced organization, being very flexible about their day-to-day work, enjoy working with people from different cultures, and not easily stressed by an environment where guidelines my change and be ambiguous at times. The situation is fluid and can shift quickly, but those who enjoy this type of role know they are helping people achieve our mission. With a client-service approach, the HR Partner and Special Projects Lead for HQ will provide HR generalist support, backstopping HR Partners as needed across Headquarters. The role reports to and will work closely with the Senior HR Director to maintain stability and coverage on essential HR matters across HQ, primarily in the U.S. and Europe. The position will also support continuous improvement projects to stabilize and strengthen our HR practices in-line with advancing our people strategy. Active participation is expected on select improvement initiatives in collaboration with the HR Technical Units and other HQ HR Partners to continuously improve our workforce strategies. This is a 6-month limited term contract role and may have an option to extend or transfer to another IRC role near the end of the period. Major
Responsibilities:
Carry out special projects including refining and redesigning IRC Headquarters' job standardization guidelines, enabling supervisors to clearly detail work assignments consistent with IRC's grading architecture and enabling the HR team to conduct job reviews more efficiently, effectively and consistently Model, promote and uphold a culture of values as reflected in The IRC Way:
Standards for Professional Conduct - Integrity, Service and Accountability in all HR matters Ensure HR operational responsibilities are managed with uninterrupted service to clients by providing short-term coverage for the HQ HR Partners Support development and implementation of select HR solutions that support the achievement of IRC's people objectives Provide effective day to day guidance and support to staff on employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, promotions, changes in status, and general HR issues Coach managers on complex leadership and HR issues including HR/talent implications of organizational decisions and workforce planning. Provide regular guidance and respond to general HR policy and process questions from HQ staff and provide administrative approvals on needs such as new job postings, promotions, separations, etc. Employee Relations:
lead intake, make recommendations, and support resolution of sensitive employee relations matters; conduct workplace investigations if/as needed Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management and HR compliance issues Participate as an active team member, and keep abreast of trends, and leverage this insight to identify and pitch appropriate HR strategies and solutions Other duties as assigned. Education:
Bachelor's degree in HR or International Development or related field Work
Experience:
Minimum of 6 - 8 years related HR work experience Proven Skills and Proficiencies:
Strong working knowledge of and experience in multiple human resource areas including employee relations, labor law, performance management, learning & development, change management, organizational development, and compensation/benefits Experience conducting job reviews and/or organizational design; strong skill in reviewing and slating positions, analyzing job descriptions and making salary recommendations based on internal equity analyses Experience successfully project managing and delivering specialized HR projects Ability to quickly create strong working relationships, deploy influence diplomatically, with managers and staff at all levels Strong analytical skills Ability to effectively work with a multi-site client group Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven problem solving and client service skills:
the ability to successfully partner with and guide managers Experience in supporting a client group of 300
employees preferred Experience working in a multi-cultural and/or non-profit organization preferred Passionate about our humanitarian mission!
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
HR Management, HR Recruitment & PlacementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
