About The Opportunity WeWork is hiring a frontend software engineer to build and maintain the services that power our internal and member-facing applications. Hundreds of thousands of members around the world rely on these services to book spaces at WeWork locations, get support, learn about and gain entry to their building, invite guests, and work efficiently while in our spaces. WeWork is adapting to the realities of COVID-19 and seeking to support new members and new flexibility in co-working space, and our technology must rapidly adapt to support the business. This role will be working on an established team of experienced engineers responsible for multiple services and will have a direct impact on executive level initiatives. About You Can work independently to collaborate with peers across the organization Mentor and provide support to junior team members Comfortable partnering with product, design, and peer engineering leads to meet quarterly objectives Value code quality, performance and usability Have a desire to grow as a technical leader and contribute to the team culture Enjoy working in an Agile and collaborative development environment Understanding of internationalization and localization Interested in FE technologies like React, TypeScript, GraphQL and CSS extensions Requirements Bachelor degree in Computer Science and 4
years of experience developing modern web applications Strong set of front-end skills using core JavaScript, HTML and CSS Strong experience using Single Page Application technologies Proven ability to integrate with internal and external APIs Experience creating responsive and device-agnostic web applications Experience implementing component libraries and design systems Experience writing unit and E2E tests using frameworks like Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Nightwatch or Cypress Nice to have experience with integrating CMS (Contentful, Ghost, WordPress, etc), Webpack and Babel Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Life At WeWork Being a WeWorker is more than just a job. $80K -- $100K
