Job Description The Director-Risk Advisory, New York, is a senior role that is critical to GTB's growth plans in the US. The incumbent will require deep understanding of GTBs' products, strategy, risk appetite, clients, and the US markets including legal and compliance requirements. The role requires working closely with the GTB Product & Client Solutions and GTB Support teams delivering business value for all GTB business lines. Requirements Specific responsibilities will include:
o Risk assessment and mitigation of Cash Management and Trade Finance products, primarily from a legal, compliance, governance, and business risk perspective o Champion investigation into risks affecting existing and new products. For example, jurisdiction specific requirements in case of geographic expansion, payment optionality and provider integration, internal governance, etc. o Provide risk advisory in the launch of new products in the US like term deposits, virtual accounts, multi-currency accounts cash management and new Trade Financing optionality. Contribution to include participation in seeking internal approvals for these products, drafting legal documents with support of internal and/or external counsel, working withinternal Treasury for pricing, working with Operations to ensure compliance reporting o GTB Lead and point of contact for audit of GTB US business. Contributions to include co-ordination with Audit team, ensuring consistency across GT business, monitor delivery of Audit Remediations, and develop TD New York testing plans supporting compliance to regulator & internal audits o GTB Lead and Point of contact for US Anti-Money Laundering & Compliance Teams o Maintain up to date knowledge of US Regulations impacting GTB business o Build strong relationships internally with senior management across TDS businesses and externally with market participants including competitor/partner banks, legal counsels, consultants, industry forums, etc. Qualifications o CFA, MBA or equivalent with over 10 years of relevant riskexperience o Strong understanding of banking products, compliance and regulatory environment, and expertise in risk and control o Excellent skills in risk assessment, analyze and solve complex problems, multi-task, and manage tight timelines o Results oriented with ability to manage ambiguous or unclear situations o Proactive, positive attitude, and desire to learn o Strong leadership, persuasion, presentation and communication skills
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Banking, Loans & Insurance, Risk & Quantitative AnalysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
