Position Summary Lead as the subject matter expert for network planning, focused on the optimal movement of goods throughout the network, and creation of detailed by site forecasts linked to VDE and FDC budgets. The lead will set the strategy and oversee the replenishing of each dispatch point to meet customer service objectives while maintaining optimal stock cover taking into account distribution costs and with the highest freshness. Contributes to the strategic and tactical business planning, with a focus or reducing variable distribution expense through stock movement efficiencies. The Lead NSP will use the analytical, marketing, and sales data of a company to effectively estimate future product demands. They will develop effective forecast models, support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities, propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy, Inventory Management:
Lead as the subject matter expert for network planning, focused on the optimal movement of goods throughout the network, and creation of detailed by site forecasts linked to VDE and FDC budgets. Creates and maintains the strategy to be used for movement of goods throughout the network assessing the need for product availability versus the need to minimize costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location. Load planning:
Plan and optimize loads taking into account transportation constraints. Develop load optimization model targeting DC replenishment freight reductions BOL & EOL planning:
influencing the ECOMM, Marketing, and Delivery services team to align product life cycle to both customer experience and freight cost management Optimal/Suboptimal Fulfillment Planning:
daily/weekly evaluation of the network Budget Management:
Cost control - distribution costs related to usage of optimal shipping lanes between main distribution centers and forwarding distribution centers, and movement of goods to boutiques Influence demand planning to adjust production and dispatch plans targeting optimal spread and cost reduction Provide key variable forecasts to Logistics & 3PL to target decreases VDE Budget Labor Resource Planning & Supply planning:
Analyze and evaluate the supply plan and requirements to satisfy customer needs taking into account the network complexity and the supply constraints. Create and maintain rolling 52 day by site forecast including order composition, volume expectations, promotion redemption expectations, marketplace needs, machine prep, etc. Monitors expiry stock and limits bad goods exposure through end of life process management Challenge inventory levels to drive optimum free good inventory level, as well as to support Demand Planning Establish stock cover needs for Finished Goods. Leadership Development - Lead facilitator for DSP on-boarding, systems training, people development, mentorship, and assisting in leading team strategy/projects and direction. Education BA/BS Degree required (Industrial Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration preferred). Experience 7
years of supply chain, manufacturing/distribution/warehouse operations, inventory control, or physical logistics experience, required Professional Experience in Logistics/EDI/Stock Reconciliation and dealing with 3rd Party Warehousing, preferred NCE/DMAIC/GSTD experiencepreferred. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
