Senior QA Engineer

About the Position:
This position is responsible for developing and managing the testing suite for the Editorial Tools program. Responsibilities include planning and executing tests and communicating results to engineering, product, design and editorial teams as appropriate. A part of the role will be to develop strategies for improving the coverage and speed of test cycle execution through effective use of tools including automation and analysis tools. Must be detail oriented, analytical and creative problem solver with passion for quality processes. Must document clearly and thoroughly.
Responsibilities:
Liaise with internal teams (i.e. Developers, Project Managers, and Senior Management) to identify system requirements Design and implement tests Monitor the debugging process and define corrective actions Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities Design, develop and execute automation scripts using Cypress and Percy Manage automation jobs in CI/CD pipeline on every PR, nightly, and on promoting builds Review daily automation run reports and take actions accordingly on any failures Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved Technology Stack/Skill Set:

years as a QA Automation Engineer implementing full functional testing manually and automated for a variety of applications, services, APIs, UIs and Database 2
years experience with running and developing automated test scripts using testing tools. Knowledge on developing automation code in Cypress is preferred, or other automation tools Knowledge on JavaScript is preferred, or other programming language Experience testing end-to-end of an application (frontend - middle layer - backend) Working knowledge of quality assurance and acceptance testing methodologies and/or training Apply strong knowledge of testing methodologies such as regression, smoke, adhoc, black box, and white box testing Measure the test effectiveness utilizing metrics, monitor the progress, and report the results of both automated and manual test efforts by fostering transparency and accountability Experience with testing API using Postman or similar tools Experience with Swagger or similar tools Experience with performance testing using Jmeter or similar tools Experience with visual and accessibility testing
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Quality AssuranceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
