Regional Design Lead Electrical Engineer

Job Summary Black & Veatch has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Regional Design Lead Engineer within our Water Americas Systems Design Group in our Cincinnati, OH regional office. Our Systems Design Group provides electrical, instrumentation & control and process mechanical solutions to all of Black & Veatch's Water/Wastewater projects throughout North America. Black & Veatch's Cincinnati office currently serves clients in the Cincinnati, OH area with support from our Design Centers. Key Responsibilities Position Overview:
o Lead Electrical design for water/wastewater projects o Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff in the regional design centers that are supporting project detailed design o Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations o Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services o Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers Additional Project Opportunities:
o Studies -Energy Optimization, Power System Coordination and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and Electrical Reliability Analysis o Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues Preferred Qualifications o Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program o Professional Engineer's license in OH or another US jurisdiction o 5
years in electrical design, planning and construction services o Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience preferred o Experience in a client-facing/business development role o Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following:
criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. Certifications Most positions - depending on the nature of work performed as defined by the division - will typically require incumbents to have professional registration or licensure in their designated home office country, or be in active pursuit of such registration Work Environment/Physical Demands Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards(electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemical(s), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
