Hospitals. Helps build a Health Care System that provides patient care and customer service that is culturally competent and people-centered. Supports initiatives that foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for our diverse patients, staff and the communities served. Ensures alignment of diversity and inclusion with business strategies and operational standards to achieve an optimized workforce that improves outcomes and the patient experience. Responsibilities:
Oversees, directs, and is accountable for the overall planning, development, implementation, evaluation and effectiveness of diversity and inclusion strategies and initiatives; establishes, directs, and maintains a system of diversity and inclusiveness that ensures effective outcomes. Oversees all diversity and inclusion programs and related activities, and formulates and institutes effective strategy to drive the diversity and inclusion direction, goals, and processes, while applying knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques focused on a culture of innovation, quality performance, and continuous improvement. Identifies metrics to evaluate progress toward the goal of creating a more inclusive and innovative work environment. Manages system-wide gender equity/LGBTQ programs and initiatives, including support for Pride Health Centers across the system. Manages large-scale contracts and maintains vendor relationships related to diversity and inclusion activities, including the development and execution of solicitation requests and performance oversight to ensure adequate service level standards are met. Maintains the department's budget, including the preparation, allocation, expenditure and monitoring of funds in accordance with H+H policies and procedures. Advises senior leadership and other staff and departments on initiatives and activities that promote diversity and inclusiveness; creates a positive impact on service quality; effectively communicates with leadership and professionals at all levels of the System in ways that affirm the diversity and inclusion enterprise as an agent of organizational change. Effectively collaborates and liaises with senior leadership, health care setting executive staff, administration and other departments to identify diversity and inclusion needs, ensuring that every business need is supported with required resources. Administers and oversees system-wide language service operations (translation and interpretation services) and opportunities for improvement. Language service operations include the delivery of high-quality interpretation services and management of translation services to ensure essential documents are available in the top languages understood by limited English proficient (LEP) patients and visitors. Manages the delivery of culturally and linguistically appropriate services that result in improved patient and family experiences; builds awareness of cultural diversity that translates into patient-related activities that enhance and elevate patient care practices. In collaboration with Intergovernmental Affairs and senior leaders, responds to requests from elected officials, prepares written testimony and other related materials, and testifies before legislative bodies on behalf of the System. Serves as the NYC Health
Hospitals Civil Rights Coordinator on non-discrimination and accessibility for patient-related services to oversee initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex. Collaborates with the MWBE Officer to support initiatives to improve NYC Health
Hospitals Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) program and M/WBE representation in procurement opportunities and contracts awarded. Works closely with the Workforce Development service and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) to develop training to educate staff on how to recognize, accommodate, and appreciate individual differences. Reviews applicable policies, procedures, and practices and make recommendations for changes that support a diverse and inclusive culture and organization. Leads activities related to the EDI Board Committee and EDI Councils. Participates in relevant professional organizations and activities, and conducts and attends meetings and conferences to discuss improvements, programs, services and/or other matters related to diversity and inclusion. Ensures ongoing compliance and maintenance of the NYC Health
Hospitals policies and other applicable external requirements and guidelines. Performs other duties, as directed. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Hospital, Health Care, Business, Personnel or Public Administration, Health Care Planning, Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, Business Management, Community Health, Public Health, or other related discipline; and four (4) years of satisfactory full-time direct and progressively responsible diversity and inclusion leadership, executive management, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Workforce Development, or other related experience; or a BA degree with six years of experience.
Salary Range:
$180K -- $275K
Minimum Qualification
Healthcare ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
