Sr Product Manager/Product Owner
This is a hybrid role built for a dynamic individual that has a passion for the big picture vision and the ability to roll up their sleeves to get into the details. Vertafore Canada, a division of Vertafore, primarily serves the Canadian Independent Broker distribution channel. In this role, you will help Vertafore Canada, define, analyze, scope, build and launch new solutions for the Canadian market, including but not limited to Personal Lines Rating Services. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including insurance carriers, to understand roadmap goals/strategy and distill high-level requirements user stories that enable development teams to understand what problems need to be solved to create the best solution. As a Senior Product Manager/Owner, you will also prioritize the development backlog and plan and sequence the work appropriately. As features or user stories are delivered, you'll work closely with QA to ensure the problems are solved and requirements are met. Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams, including insurance carriers and other external stakeholders, to get the clarity needed to document user stories to appropriate level of detail Drive the full product development cycle from idea to delivery, demonstrating strong leadership skills and ability to execute initiatives to completion Clarify user stories to the appropriate level of detail where needed Research and respond to questions from designers, developers, and QA Collaborate with product management colleagues, development, and user experience design staff to lead on time, successful scope definition and feature deployment Design and deliver product training for your new solutions to internal cross functional teams Partner with Sales & Marketing as the subject matter expert for your assigned products Self-starter able to take ownership with little direction Willingness to embrace ambiguity
Qualifications:
Proven track record translating user research and customer feedback into detailed features Strong experience working on highly technical & integrated products Clearly communicate and defend their ideas strategies Have a passion for product quality and a user centric approach Are driven to improve, personally and professionally Operate best in a fast-paced and flexible work environment 3
years' experience, preferably with enterprise solutions and integrations in a SaaS environment Share best practices that inspire everyone around them to raise the bar Have experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Ability to serve as both product manager/owner and product evangelist Ability to drive the full product development cycle from idea to delivery Self-starter able to take ownership with little direction Willingness to embrace ambiguity Experience in P&C Insurance is an asset Bilingual, English & French, is an asset Additional Requirements and Details:
Travel required up to 20% of the time. WFH with stable internet as needed. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds. Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
