Director, Strategic Alliances- IBM/Red Hat (Remote)

Job Summary The NetApp IBM Alliance Director will coordinate and drive the worldwide partnership between IBM and NetApp. This leadership role drives a 360-degree view of NetApp's work with IBM, including defining and executing our executive alignment plan starting at the CEO level as well as shaping and ensuring execution of joint product roadmaps, marketing plans and service and support plans. Success is measured through joint NetApp/IBM revenue, net new customer acquisition, differentiated offerings, brand influence and customer satisfaction with our combined solutions. The Director will be responsible for working with NetApp and IBM executives to define the overall strategy for the NetApp IBM alliance and coordinating execution of the plan with IBM and cross-functionally within NetApp. IBM is one of NetApp's most strategic relationships, and this role has broad visibility and impact. The successful candidate will be comfortable working at different levels of the organizations from CEO to individual contributors and delivering a win-win-win relationship for NetApp, IBM and our joint customers. IBM is also a significant NetApp customer and collaborating with our account teams and co-engineering for the IBM Cloud will be a priority. The leader who takes on this role must be deeply knowledgeable of NetApp and IBM's business objectives and capable of defining and executing a winning plan. A deep understanding of IBM's entire business, and Red Hat, is imperative and strong connections across IBM executives is required. Technical and strategic skills with a customer first approach are particularly relevant for success. The successful candidate will be a trusted resource for both IBM's and NetApp's executive team. This is a challenging position with the opportunity to work collaboratively with professionals across multiple teams of NetApp and IBM in engineering, product management, marketing, training, communication, operations, sales and at the executive level. As a senior professional working with cross-functional teams, you will need good negotiation, collaboration, conflict management and resolution skills. Responsibilities:
Accountable for all aspects of the alliance health, including delivering strong financial results. Maintain deep understanding of IBM and NetApp strategies and build a plan that accelerates NetApp's growth and win ratios for our product portfolio jointly with IBM. Manage executive engagement between the two companies at CEO level and functional leader levels. Coordinate engineering engagement across multiple projects with assistance of NetApp TAM and solutions development teams. Drive GTM and field engagement spanning NetApp and IBM's field and sales channels. Foster promotion of our joint solutions by aligning with NetApp and IBM Solutions and Marketing teams. Build strong and long-lasting trust-based relationships with IBM executives directly and enable relationships between NetApp and IBM executives. Communicate partnership progress to both executive and wider audiences. Establish and run Executive Briefings and QBRs with cross-functional leaders within both NetApp and IBM. Job Requirements Proven experience leading a worldwide partnership with IBM for a global technology company and delivering quantifiable outcomes. Established relationships within IBM across executive, sales, marketing, product and engineering functions. Previous experience working at IBM a plus. Ability to navigate complexity and work effectively with and across all layers of a large organization while driving multiple initiatives simultaneously. Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive programs while influencing multiple individuals and groups through collaboration and partnership building skills. Results oriented with proven experience delivering against program objectives, revenue goals and customer satisfaction. Ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and gain successful resolution of issues. Customer first mentality with a focus on delivering business value and outcomes for both LoB and IT constituents. Experience with cloud offerings, managed services and consumption models. Strategic thinker with excellent teaming and communication skills. Education Bachelor's Degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required. MBA or Master's degree a plus. 10
years of leadership roles related to leading large, complex partner relationships in the technology arena. Experience in a product management or technical role a plus.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Account ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
