Media Director

Job Description Overview:
The Media Director (MD) is responsible for lead Commerce Strategy and Activation for our CPG and healthcare client. With guidance from the Group Media Director, the Media Director will be accountable for the Commerce strategy for the client and work with client stakeholders to propose and defend media spend across all digital media channels. The Media Director will oversee a team of three. The Media Director should be accountable for establishing KPIs and benchmarks for each campaign, and optimize the plan against those goals. The Media Director comes with account management and team leadership experience, along with extensive experience in shopper marketing, commerce and digital media. Role
Responsibilities:
Client Leadership o Develops and fosters client relationships. Working towards 100% account retention within a defined portfolio of accounts. o Lead Shopper initiatives across retail media networks and 3rd party media partners o Oversee Shopper Media activation, including vendor vetting, communications, negotiation, and reporting o Attends client meetings on ongoing basis, interface as needed with executive level and middle management level on client side during meetings and presentations o Guides strategic media presentations and performance calls o Solves client problems and uses conflict management skills within a professional environment o Manages program development and implementation for detailed analysis like audience segmentation, ad frequency, creative concept/copy testing, purchase cycles and more o Deeply involved in measurement - e.g. sales lift studies, brand lift studies, foot traffic studies, click to cart technologies o Leverages syndicated digital research (e.g. ComScore, Nielsen, MRI) to identify the right media tactics per campaign, along with consumer trends Account Management o Implement holistic media planning o Improves client-agency team processes o Interfaces with other department to share ideas, communicate service offerings, and to identify and deliver new solutions for clients o Keeps senior management apprised of key client opportunities, potential risks and other key nuances which affect the health of the business o Prepares and presents annual financial plans and human resources plans Team Leadership & Development o Embraces and encourages a culture based on team work, collaboration, and curiosity o Motivates and manages internal teams, working collaboratively to develop programs that meet our clients' business goals o Guides adoption of stated account management best practices through example setting, positive reinforcement and behavioral correction o Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing, and evaluating team members o Conducts performance reviews and career path plans for direct reports o Establishes expectations and goals for team on performance marketing thought leadership o Provide cross media planning training for their team Process Improvement o Facilitates the development and documentation of best practices to improve operational efficiencies within the team and the group o Contributes to blog, newsletter, training forums and/or task forces o With GMD guidance, create a new approach for shopper media, including development of a Shopper Media Playbook and an approach for media plans Cross-Selling o Understands and explains the features and benefits of all agency products and services o Cross sells products and services to grow Performics' share of marketing spend Qualifications o Bachelor's Degree, concentration in business, marketing, media, or advertising preferred o 5-7 years of account management experience in shopper marketing or commerce media o Deep knowledge of key retailers and their retail media networks (e.g. Walmart Media Connect, Roundel) and lower funnel 3rd party media partners o 2-4 years of demonstrated in managing and developing people o Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods Industry (CPG) is preferred Additional Information About the Way We Work:

Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Media Production & BroadcastingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
