Director, Corporate Communications
Reporting to the VP of B2B & Global Internal Communications, the Director, Support Communications, will shape, lead and execute communications strategies for the Dow Jones's corporate functions, including the Finance, Experience (IT) and Legal teams at Dow Jones, serving as a communications counselor to the leaders in those areas. As an adviser to this critical side of the business, the communications business partner will build a comprehensive communications strategy, advise senior stakeholders on communications needs and manage internal and external channels for these important functions. RESPONSIBILITIES Establish an overarching communications strategy, plans and narrative, including internal/external content and messaging, campaigns, features, etc. Partner with senior leadership to ensure consistent, timely cascade of corporate messaging and foster team alignment with company goals and strategies. Build strong relationships with and proactively advise leaders on communications opportunities, pitching strategies, stories and tactics Develop and maintain close, productive and strategic relationships with media outlets and/or internal/external communications partners Utilize traditional and digital communication channels in creative ways that resonate with audiences and align with the overall strategy Lead messaging and advise on reputational and crisis incidents; proactively mitigate / plan for risks SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 10
years internal and external communications experience required. Senior stakeholder relationship management experience is critical. Extensive communications strategy and planning Skilled at storytelling and messaging Reputational risk and crisis management experience Media relations understanding Extensive employee communications Demonstrated experience with change management and internal restructuring Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships in a virtual environment is essential. Can develop influential relationships in a global matrix organization. Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications is highly preferred. Excellent organizational and project management skills are required.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Communications & PREstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
