Responsibilities:
o Analyze, design, develop and implement Mainframe z/OS applications using Cobol/CICS/DB2/VSAM/JCL o Work on new software development and enhancements to existing software o Create technical documentations needed for development, installation, and maintenance o Evaluate software design alternatives and recommend solutions o Provide software development estimate for new business features o Peer review team deliverables o Build and maintain relationships with global virtual teams on software development, deployment, and support issues o Supervise and mentor junior team members when needed o Leverage software industry best practices and methodologies Essential
Qualifications:
o 5
years of hands-on experience in developing and supporting mainframe business applications for large US corporations o 5
years of experience and excellent programming skills in COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, & IBM utilities o Experience with DB2 Stored procedures and utilities o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline o Experience in Group insurance applications o Experience in Software Development Life Cycle using Kanban, Scrum, or Scaled Agile o Excellent verbal and written communication skills o Development experience in a cross-platform and multi-tier environment o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred
Qualifications:
