Responsibilities:
Directs and implements strategic financial planning initiatives related to the integration of finance operations into the routine processes of NYC H+H Business Operations. She/he will have financial and operational expertise, leadership, direction, and oversight for financial programs managed or supported by the SVP of Business Operations. Responsibilities include participation in the design of program goals, timelines and objectives; supervision of project operations; assisting with defining measurable and actionable metrics; supervision of objectives within the programs, development of relationships including interactions with corporate finance, ambulatory, nursing and physicians. As a member of the Business Operations leadership team, employee directs all financial functions of the institutions in support of the achievement of the strategic goals and objectives of the system. The position will be responsible for supporting Corporate Finance and Hospital Management in the areas of Budgeting (operations and capital), Financial Reporting, Revenue Cycle, Decision Support, and Strategic Planning. He/She is responsible for developing and maintaining good communications and working relationships with the executive staff, corporate teams, outside agencies and other departments. This individual serves as the liaison between the business, quality, clinical and administrative teams with responsibility to analyze, evaluate, and meet financial/business needs. The employee partners with the Office of the Corporate Finance in the development and integration of the Business Operations Office into the infrastructure of the Health System, including related initiatives, services and programs. He/She will have responsibility for the management, leadership, direction, and oversight of Finance initiatives. Responsibilities include participation in the design of financial goals, timelines and objectives; Developing and defining measurable and actionable metrics; Establishes and measures organizational performance against goals and objectives, ensuring results are defined and measurable and are focused on growth and improving outcomes. 1. Financial Management a) Reviews and monitors financial and capital expenditures b) Provides financial and administrative oversight and problem resolution guidance c) Develops and oversees the department budget; advises and assists with expense budget forecasting d) Reviews and prioritizes financial and capital expenditures by assessing profitability, alignment with business objectives and budget parameters. e) Provides financial and administrative oversight and problem resolution guidance. f) Develops and oversees the budget; advise and assist the organization with expense budget and cost forecasting. g) Directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting. h) Analyzing financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management. i) Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs. j) Developing and coordinating all relationships with lending/financial institutions. k) Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting internal policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles; and aligned with Corporate Policies and Procedures. Oversee contract bookkeeper. l) Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. i. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking. m) Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.; n) Serves as a financial resource for internal team members for expedited problem identification and resolution, provision of finance-specific updates, and team interactions and deadlines 2. Provides explanation and guidance to site leadership on monthly financial reporting results and issues. 3. Assists Corporate Finance leadership with the preparation of reports for presentation to Administration, Finance Committee and/or the Board of Directors. Minimum Qualifications 1. A master's degree with a major in accounting, finance or business administration with emphasis on accounting and financial systems from an accredited college or university; and seven (7) years of responsible level experience in fiscal management or administration with an emphasis in financial systems, management information and controls, of which at least three (3) years shall have been in responsible administrative or managerial capacity; or 2. A baccalaureate degree with a major in related fields, as indicated in (1) above, from an accredited college or university; and eight (8) years of experience as indicated in (1), of which at least three (3) years shall have been in a responsible administrative or managerial capacity; and 3. Knowledge of total accounting and financial management both in systems theory and practice; or 4. A satisfactory equivalent of education, training and experience. Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Finance or Accounting Master's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred Knowledgable in:

Salary Range:
$80K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Accounting, Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
