The qualified candidate for the Senior Practice Support Specialist will report to the Director of Practice Support and will support the initiatives of the Firm, including, but not limited to:
Education:
Possess a BA/BS and have above-average technical skills and training on database and litigation support applications. Professional Experience / Skill Set Should Include:
4-6 years of prior experience in a law firm, corporation or legal consulting firm as a paralegal and/or Litigation Support Specialist, Analyst, or Case Manager required. Prior experience working closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other litigation support and IT professionals in some or all phases of litigations/arbitrations/investigations is required including knowledge of data from preservation and legal holds to collections, reviews, and productions. Knowledge and basic understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). Prior experience with various aspects of data discovery required including:
chain of custody; data integrity and contamination; data prep, processing and conversion; importing/exporting data from databases including formats and associated load files; and prep and processing of relevant documents for production. Prior experience with preparations for trials/arbitrations a plus including development of presentation materials and demonstrative exhibits. Prior experience working with or being employed by eDiscovery Service Providers a plus. Require a working knowledge of Relativity and/or other Document Review and Processing Platforms including how to create/edit fields, choices, searches, views, layouts, data and search term reports, document review batches, search indexes, etc. (any related certifications a plus). Must be highly motivated and organized, and possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team. Must be able to efficiently and effectively communicate with attorneys, paralegals, administrative staff, IT, and department personnel both verbally and in writing, and ask appropriate questions. Ability to calmly and effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure, set, maintain, and/or change priorities as new information is provided, and to make appropriate decisions to ensure project goals and deadlines are met accurately and timely. Ability to managed/assist with multiple electronic discovery projects simultaneously from start to finish, understand the fine details of projects, and be able to anticipate and adapt to project changes both large and small. Must be able to recognize, understand, and be able to adapt to different workflows depending upon the needs of a case and/or attorney styles. Ability to anticipate, understand and act quickly to solve problems efficiently to keep projects on track including the capability to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve problems/errors with data conversions and production load files. Must have a keen interest in technology as well as learning/working with new technology. Have a strong understanding of document metadata, folder structures, unitization, and families, and possess the ability to perform in depth QC/QA as needed to complete projects is necessary. Clear understanding of document reviews including basic concepts such as responsive, non-responsive, confidentiality, privileged, redacted, claw back, etc. in connection with productions. Require a working knowledge of Acrobat Professional (or equivalent) including macros to batch process Bates stamping, OCRing, etc. Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel and PowerPoint. Prior experience training attorneys to effectively use practice support applications including Relativity, other document review platforms, and transcript applications such as Case Notebook and Trial Director is a plus. Knowledge of / experience with Practice Support Tools such as Ipro eCapture, LAW PreDiscovery, CaseMap, TextMap, OnCue, FTK, EnCase, SharePoint, etc., a plus. Formal training in e-discovery, project management, e-data processing, Information Systems Security, and data forensics is a plus.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $90K
Minimum Qualification
Legal & RegulatoryEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
