Job Description The Design Director at Heartbeat leads design projects with an uncompromising work ethic, creative ideas, critical strategic thinking, and exceptional craft skills. They shepherd brand development, extension, and execution, and bring a clear, educated Design perspective on each engagement to client and internal teams, alike. The Design Director is responsible for guiding and elevating each project's total design efforts through directly carrying out, or leading a team through detailed design projects and executions. Design Directors solve complex problems, embrace detail and give ongoing feedback throughout the entirety of projects. They dive deep into our creative work to ensure strength and impact. They must be hands-on and adaptable, providing resilience and responsive insight when facing ambiguity and change. They must love quality Design and inspire such quality from other Designers and craftspeople. Responsibilities Act as the foundation of design on a project, being hands-on while guiding Senior Designers & Designers in shaping the design work from ideation through delivery Produce brilliant creative ideas and develop them into tangible design solutions across both digital, print, and video Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Senior Designers, and Designers on the creation of design approaches that are brand-relevant, distinctive, and accessible/engaging to our client audiences Play an active role in the design thinking for pitches Present ideas and creative work to multiple stakeholders (internally and externally) with conviction, confidence, and clear rationale Understand communication strategy and project goals and activate both in design Ensure the quality of work produced meets Heartbeat standards and client expectations Bring a strong creative point of view to Heartbeat culture Inspire, mentor, and train Designers of all levels and contribute to the recruitment of Design talent Qualifications A Challenger mindset, that seeks to push the work further, understands the core issue and trusts your judgment An extensive and exciting portfolio of work showing inventive creative solutions and exceptional craft Mastery of design fundamentals:
Typography, color, composition, layout Multi-disciplined approach to design with knowledge of visual, interactive and motion design Experience working directly with clients, understanding briefs, and communicating needs Understanding of digital media and a desire to adapt to changing technology Print production/pre-press knowledge Experience working with vendors & specialists Effective verbal and written presentation skills Leadership experience working with direct reports Ability to successfully manage time, process and workflow on multiple projects Willingness to roll up your sleeves, and aid indirectly completing design work 8

Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Design & UXEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
