LPN - Methadone Clinic

A health services network in New York City is actively seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join one of their facilities in Manhattan.
Reporting to the Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for providing for medication dispensing and nursing assistance in the diagnosis and continuous primary medical care to patients.
Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will:
Verify the identification and observe the behavior of patients to whom medication or other medical services are provided Act as the HIV Coordinator for the Medical Unit, including the responsibility for tracking the HIV patients for medical care Maintain the medical charts, the medical unit appointment book and daily visit log book Perform the appropriate independent nursing follow-up care of patients Assist in the identification and recall of patients for follow-up medical and nursing care Assist in the performance of admission and annual physical examinations.
Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations, vital signs, etc.
; assist in urine collection Assist the Physician and/or the Physician Assistant (PA) in the performance of pelvic examinations Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of nursing NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills Patient oriented Great interpersonal skills Excellent communicaiton skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills:

years of Nursing exeprience Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Bilingual (English and Spanish) Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Clinical Works Coordinating Electronic Medical Record Interpersonal Skills Licensed Practical Nurse Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
