Attendance is required 5 days a week in our Manhattan officeThe salary range for this position is $80k-$95k annuallyJob SummaryQSAC's fiscal department is hiring!We are in need of a seasoned Senior Fiscal Analyst who has an eye for detail, a knack for monitoring budgets and providing overall fiscal compliance to QSAC's OPWDD programs, while ensuring adherence to Special Education Department's (SED) Reimbursement Cost Manual (RCM), Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR) and GAAP Standards.
Analysis, Compliance & Reporting Verify expenses are recorded in accordance with the manual of Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR) Analyze quarterly un-audited Financial Statements and Profit and Loss Statements Ensure both program and fiscal compliance with SED Reimbursement Cost Manual (RCM) is in place Guides and reviews of monthly and adjusting journal entries to Trial Balance Review and monitor activities of Trial Balance accounts Assist Controller and the CFO on all issues that will impact the financial position of the organization Communicate with budget Analyst to resolve pending/outstanding issues related to the monthly closing of the General Ledger Assist in all types of external audits such as regular annual, closeouts by governmental agencies Assist with updating Accounting and Policy Procedures manual as needed Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials Qualifications & Work Experience BS/BA in Finance or Accounting, required A minimum of five (5) Fiscal Compliance experience, preferred 5 years of professional finance experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles along with strong analytical and strategic skills which will be used to identify financial, operational and process improvement opportunities Strong system skills and ability to learn new systems quickly Excellent organizational skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Demonstrated track record of displaying a collaborating working style Reconciliation of various accounts on a monthly basis Self-motivated, self-reliant and strong work ethic MissionQSAC is a New York City and Long Island based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, together with their families, in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering person-centered services.
