Job Description:
Dow Jones' Product Strategy team empowers the global sales team to be brand champions and product experts.
We collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, product, ad technology and marketing to develop multi-platform product positioning, packaging and go-to-market strategy.
Effective internal communication ensures the global sales team is equipped with timely, accurate and engaging sales materials and presentations in order to drive revenue.
Within this context, the Associate Product Strategist role will operate across the Product Strategy team with defined responsibilties that align to Product Strategy Director priorities.
Key responsibilities Analyze premium product inventory across audio, video, newsletters and Live Journalism within the WSJ BG competitive set, assist Product Strategy team in building actionable prospects and leads Maintenance of internal systems to ensure stakeholders are aligned on pricing, packages and available inventory (applicable to Live Journalism) Contribute to the maintenance of an organized product portfolio, effective internal communications cadence, and resource guide for global sales team Manage the coordination of editorial adjacencies, navigating premium positioning and competitive separation within Special Reports across both print and digital Liaise closely with internal teams including integrated marketing, The Trust, product and client success to develop ideas and strategies that add value to the RFP cycle Assist in the Investigation, coordination and implementation of new platform/product strategies and opportunities Qualification/Requirements:
Ideally 1
years of experience in an experiential and/or media client success role with hands-on experience of solution selling and project management to business-level decision makers.
Fresh graduates with relevant experience will be considered.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and presentation skills Familiarity with sales and management systems, including, but not limited to, Salesforce, Cvent, Asana, Google Drive and Microsoft Office Comfortable in selling situations and in interfacing directly with senior decision making clients and internals Self-starter for research projects, data analysis and investigating the industry landscape Quick study, a passionate team player with strong creative thinking and idea generation skills Comfortable working in a matrix organization, supporting other teams while accounting for the needs of Product Strategy.
Understanding of the events and experiential industry, as well as the media / news landscape.
High level of initiative and self-motivation Ability to take ownership of problems and coordinate appropriate internal resources to help solve problems effectively and efficiently Reasonable accommodation:
