Job Description:
The Manager, Performance Social Media for The Wall Street Journal will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing our paid social media campaigns across various platforms.
The primary goal will be to generate subscriptions and increase engagement through effective paid social media strategies.
This role requires a deep understanding of social media platforms, advanced advertising techniques, data analysis, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic paid social media plans aligned with overall marketing objectives, targeting specific demographics, interests, and behaviors to maximize campaign effectiveness.
Lead a team of paid social media associates, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the successful execution of campaigns and the professional growth of team members.
Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of paid social media campaigns across various platforms such as TikTok, Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
Conduct regular analysis of campaign performance metrics, including CPO, ROAS, and other relevant KPIs.
Manage the paid social media budget, ensuring efficient allocation and maximizing ROI.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, creative, and analytics, to align paid social media efforts with broader marketing strategies.
Drive innovation and stay up to date with emerging social media trends, platforms, and advertising tools to continuously improve campaign performance and maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements 5
years' proven experience as a Paid Social Media Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successfully managing and optimizing paid social media campaigns.
In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms, advertising tools, and advanced targeting techniques, including but not limited to Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram Ads, Twitter Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex campaign data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights.
Proficiency in using analytics and reporting tools, such as Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, or similar platforms.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members, foster a collaborative environment, and drive results.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work effectively under pressure.
