Senior Director- People Manager Our client, a global pharmaceuticals firm, is working to produce innovative drug therapies within large molecule drug products, with multiple products in pipeline heavily within Late Phase/Commercialization stages.
This role will be focusing on novel biologics within upstream process development in the CMC group.
The Senior Director - Process Development will manage a team of scientists and engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and ensure the successful scale-up and transfer of upstream processes from laboratory to manufacturing.
The Senior Director - Process Development will:
Manage a team of 8-10 scientists and engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback Design and optimize upstream processes for the production of biologics, including cell culture, media development, and bioreactor operation Develop and implement scale-up strategies to transfer processes from laboratory to manufacturing scale Collaborate with downstream process development, analytical development, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of upstream processes Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and professional networks to foster knowledge exchange and enhance industry visibility The Senior Director - Process Development has the following
Qualifications:
PhD with 6
years of industry experience, or MS with 8
years of industry experience, or BS with 10
years of industry experience Experience with upstream process development (hands on) Direct people management/leadership experience Preferred:
cell culture experience Company
