Duties & Responsibilities Under general supervision, performs watchpersons duties relating to physical security, safety, loss prevention and maintenance of order performs related work.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Makes periodical inspection tours through building, grounds and facilities such as hallways, lobbies, and entrance stairways.
Basements lots and corridors.
To examine doors, windows, gates locks and equipment.
Watch for prowlers, fires, water leaks, or any other cause, which might endanger or result in loss of (or) damage to property.
Respect patients and employees' confidentiality.
Assist patients and visitors if assistance is needed, when possible.
Keep entrances clear of traffic.
Report security incidents to his/her supervisors and makes reports.
Upholds and re-enforces H+H Rules and Regulations/Policies and Procedures.
Reports immediately all suspicious or unlawful conduct to Central Command Reports security incidents to his/her supervisors and prepares and submits written reports and takes actions, as appropriate, to prevent recurrences.
Makes appropriate documentation of visits at prescribed locations.
May clean or sweep assigned areas as directed by Hospital Police supervisor in emergency environmental situations.
Answers telephones, monitor CCTV, and other areas of communications when so directed by his/her supervisor.
In emergencies, may operate the elevators or heating equipment.
May operate certain motor vehicles.
If license and directed to.
Makes computerized patrols.
Works effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
Organize and present written and verbal information clearly and concisely.
Minimum Qualifications 1.
A valid New York State Security Guard registration card issued by the Department of State; and 2.
Satisfactory completion of a 16-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) course within 90 days of employment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
