SpineSearch is seeking to fill an opening for a Certified Medical Coder to join a hospital-affiliated orthopedic group in Manhattan, New York.
_Position is full time, in-person, Monday through Friday - offers a competitive salary based on experience, a full suite of benefits, and room for growth.
_ Requirements of the Certified Medical Coder:
CPC certification (through AAPC or AHIMA) Must have at least 1 year of medical coding experience Responsibilities of the Certified Medical Coder:
Fulfill a variety of variety of complex and technical medical coding assignments Analyze, code, and abstract medical information Resolve coding discrepancies Review and revise rejected claims Run accounts receivable report (IDX) Track all IDX record requests Perform all other duties as assigned by management#INDLPJob Type:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
