Overview The Bank of New York Mellon seeks Principal, Quality Assurance and Testing in New York, NY to define and maintain highly complex test system configurations and write test scripts for complex integrated systems in large scale projects.
Provide high level technical guidance to assigned project teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Ten (10) years of experience must include:
Selecting testing strategy, approaches and tools; Enhancing existing Testing frameworks by adding new functions; Identifying re-usable components and defining the Testing approach to drive the project to completion; Identifying roadblocks and creating mitigation plans while working with various teams; Identifying test data, test environment setup, and test environment configurations needed to prepare for testing; Analyzing detailed systems requirements to verify that programs are functioning according to actual requirements and established guidelines; Providing Test Metrics as part of assigned project test assignments and reviewing with stakeholders and creating plans to remediate issues; and collaborating with Technology and business users to deliver quality software.
Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Salary:
$174,458 to $216,000 per year.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees.
The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $174,458 to $216,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
Base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
