Chief Medical Director - Insurance Experience Needed

The Chief Medical Director will provide medical expertise for medical underwriting and claim analysis.
As the Chief Medical Director will:
Conduct sophisticated medical underwriting and claim analysis, consistent with the departmental philosophy, as well as the company's goals and objectives.
Remain in touch with the current, new, and emerging, medical, surgical, and pharmacological conditions and treatments impacting the insurance industry.
Continue medical education to increase knowledge of the medical insurance field and medicine.
Provide active engagement in training and medical education of underwriters, claim personnel, the field force, and other staff and employees of the company.
Provide in-depth medical expertise to all areas and levels of the company.
Participate in company meetings and committees to increase knowledge, which is important to the goals and objectives of the company.
Actively take part in industry associations, committees, and activities to acquire knowledge of industry issues and challenges while helping shape industry initiatives.
Who You Are Graduate of an accredited medical school, having acquired an MD, DO, PA LNP or equivalent degree; a current medical license preferred.
Three or more years of medical/clinical background is preferred.
Board Certified in Insurance Medicine and 2
years of Life and Disability Underwriting, and claims experience is preferred.
Must participate in continuing education.
