Now hiring in New York, NY A Full-time, Reporting& Analytics job is available with our client, an investment firm with $17B in assets which has been and industry leader for over 20 yearsCandidates MUST be local to Virginia to enable commuting to the office throughout the weekCandidate must be able to work for any employer without a visa transferThis candidate will be a core member of our client's Reporting& Analytics Team, reporting to a senior member of the groupThis role will be primarily responsible for supporting a diverse set of performance analytics and reporting tasks crucial for both their clients and Investment TeamOur client manages a complex multi-asset portfolio and this person will (i) contribute to review of performance computation across all slices of the portfolio, (ii) support ongoing work on portfolio analytics for both internal use by Investment Team and external use by clients, (iii) work with various datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability of the analysis ultimately produced by the team, (iv) work with various teams to improve ongoing processes, (v) collaborate with internal teams on building out new analytics, (vi) keep learning and developing analytical skills to support the team's mission of data accuracy and best in class portfolio analyticsCreate, produce, and review all aspects of output for clients and the Investment Team, including monthly and quarterly performance reports, annual deep-dive performance reports, exposure reporting and analysis, benchmark and comparative analysis on asset classes, strategies, and managers, liquidity analytics, portfolio stress testing, and private portfolio modelingSupport the development and maintenance of proprietary data systems, applying statistical and quantitative methods in financial modeling and performance analyticsLead training sessions firmwide for those who need and use firm's reporting and risk software applicationsBe proactive in offering thoughts around investment performance and risk concepts; be engaged on new ideas and trends around performance reporting within the industryBecome proficient in using various proprietary performance, risk, and accounting tools and developing financial modelsApply or be willing to learn statistical analysis and data mining techniques using Python or similar language, along with other database tools, in order to add value to team deliverablesHandle variety of ad-hoc data projects, as needed, with high attention to detailProvide support and quality control to reconciliation efforts to ensure data quality for external and internal deliverables and reportingAssist team as needed on the implementation of new tools and tool integration into the wider data frameworkSupport and help mentor junior teammatesBachelor's degree with proven academic achievement required; focused degree in math, science, computer science, economics or finance preferred Proficient using standard office software such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Power user of Excel; basic knowledge of SQL and familiarity with Julia a strong plus Python proficiency required Knowledge of alternative investment industry strategies, products, analytics, metrics, and portfolio analysis Ability to communicate internally (and in written form) insights and takeaways from investment performance results Strong attention to detail in quantitative and financial analysis Experience with training and mentoring junior teammates Skills necessary to create and oversee schedules for timely and accurate delivery of reports and analysis Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of professionalismAfter you've applied, connect directly to the recruiter at linkedin.
