Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) hiring all for all shifts
Verrazano Nursing and Post-Acute Center is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in our Staten Island FacilityThe CNA will provide nursing care to patients and assist them in daily activities such as bathing, eating, and toileting.
The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, punctual, and enjoys helping othersThis person must be reliable, empathetic, and be able to work with all types of people.
Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem Shifts AvailableHours:
8 am to 4 pm4 pm to 12 am12 am to 8 am
Responsibilities:
Patient care - Instill confidence and trust in patients in a competent and caring mannerProvide hygiene and daily living assistanceThis could include toileting, bathing, and assisting patients with showersSupport the patient with meals as neededAmbulate, turn, and position patients as required.
Medical needs - Check vital signs and weightPerform sugar and acetone urine testing and specimen collectionAdminister non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz, and therapeutic baths.
Professional development - Maintain any specialized training and, if applicable, perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned patient or area CNA/ Certified Nurse Aide Requirements:
Currently holds an active CNA certificate to work in New York.
Meets all State and Federal requirements for US employment in a Nursing Facility Ability to communicate effectively About Us:
