Assistant Product Manager (Temporary Assignment)

This is a temporary assignment for a duration of 19 weeks. As the Temporary Assistant Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Product Manager to curate a diverse and appealing range of accessories that resonate with our target customers. Working closely with the Product Manager, you will assist in all aspects of the product lifecycle, from assortment creation and development to performance analysis. Your insights and collaborative efforts will contribute to achieving sales targets and enhancing the overall customer experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, product development, sourcing, marketing, and sales, to deliver an unparalleled customer experience through compelling product offerings.
Responsibilities:
Product Assortment, Planning and Maintenance:
Collaborate with the Product Manager to develop seasonal assortment plans for the Accessories Category, considering market trends, customer preferences, and historical sales data. Assist in identifying key product trends to ensure a well-rounded and attractive product offering. Research and analyze market competitors to gain insights into their assortment strategies and pricing. Assist in naming collections, colors, and styles. Enter new styles into SAP and ensuring accurate and consistent categorization. Coordinate samples for meetings & presentations.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with design, product development and sourcing teams to track new product through the entire product development cycle. Act as a key player in Utility Reviews with the Design, Product Development and Sourcing teams, ensuring the appropriate development of product from a function & organization perspective. Partner with regional teams to gather insights from the field and incorporate customer feedback into product improvements and new developments. Input and track collateral project requests for new products.Sales Analysis and Reporting:
Compile and analyze sales data to provide insights into product performance and customer preferences. Assist in generating weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on key performance indicators (KPIs). We're excited if you have:
Bachelor's Degree 2-5 years of experience in product management/merchandising, preferably within the accessories or related consumer goods industry. Excellent multi-tasking capability and ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to make informed decisions. Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally SAP (or comparable system). Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels and functions within the organization.
