1) Operating specialized firefighting equipment to control or extinguish fires as a member of an organized military, industrial, volunteer, or governmental fire department/brigade; 2) Performing rescue operations; 3) Detecting, reducing, or eliminating potential fire hazards; 4) Controlling hazardous materials incidents and reacting to releases or potential releases of hazardous materials as part of the initial response to the incident site to protect nearby persons, property, or the environment from the effects of a release; 5) Appling basic emergency medical techniques, including patient assessment, patient treatment, rescue breathing, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and noninvasive medical procedures; and 6) Driving and Operating various firefighting vehicle/apparatus and support equipment.
