Key
Responsibilities:
Handle general liability cases, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, and negligence claims.
Conduct legal research, analysis, and case assessments to formulate effective legal strategies.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes when appropriate.
Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and experts to build strong cases and achieve favorable outcomes.
Maintain accurate and organized case records and documentation.
Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, with a strong focus on insurance defense and general liability.
Admitted to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet billable hour targets.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in legal software and research tools.
