Job Description:
1Client Consultation:
Meet with clients to assess their unique employee benefits needs.
Conduct thorough analysis of existing benefits programs and identify areas for improvement.
2Market Research:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, changes in insurance regulations, and available insurance products.
Research insurance providers and their offerings to find the best options for clients.
3Benefit Plan Design:
Create customized employee benefit packages based on client requirements, considering factors like health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and more.
Present benefit plan options to clients and help them make informed decisions.
4Provider Negotiation:
Negotiate with insurance carriers and providers to secure competitive rates and terms for the benefit plans.
Analyze proposals and contracts from insurance companies to ensure they align with client needs and budget.
5Compliance and Regulation:
Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations governing employee benefits and ensure that client benefit plans are compliant.
6Cost Analysis:
Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of different benefit plan options, taking into account both employer and employee contributions.
7Client Education:
Educate clients and their employees about benefit plan options, eligibility criteria, and enrollment procedures.
Provide guidance on benefits-related questions and issues.
8Administrative Support:
Assist with the implementation of benefit plans, including enrollment, communication, and employee onboarding.
Resolve any administrative issues or discrepancies related to employee benefits.
9Ongoing Client Relationship:
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and serve as a trusted advisor for their evolving benefit needs.
Conduct regular reviews and updates of benefit plans to ensure they continue to meet client objectives.
10Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, benefit plan details, and regulatory compliance.
Prepare reports and documents to present to clients, insurance providers, and internal stakeholders.
11Sales and Business Development:
Identify opportunities to grow the client base and increase revenue through cross-selling or upselling insurance products and services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.
g.
, Business, Finance, Human Resources).
Relevant certifications or licenses, such as Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or state insurance licenses, may be required.
Strong knowledge of employee benefits, insurance products, and relevant laws and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Negotiation and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using software tools for data analysis and presentation.
