Senior Product Designer - Processes & Containers

We re looking for a Product Designer that can understand the container observability needs of developers and turn them into elegant and delightful products.
Containerization technology is evolving fast, so while a solid foundation in cloud computing concepts is helpful, we are looking for someone that is excited and curious about this space, and has experience learning new technologies first-hand.
As the designer on the Containers Observability team you ll work with a talented team of technologists and subject matter experts to understand customer needs, and design workflows that meet them.
You ll also be a member of a supportive pod of infrastructure product designers that collaborate to improve each other s work and create useful cross-product experiences.

What You ll Do:
Work with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to understand how our customers use Datadog and what they need to succeedSee your design work through from start to finish:
turn insights from user research into ideas, sketch and prototype to bring them to life, and ship products and features that make Datadog betterBecome an expert in your product areaCommunicate both your design work and the support for your design decisions across the companyWork closely with engineering teams to understand how your designs will be builtWho You Are:
You have 5
years of experience in digital product designYour portfolio includes a proven track record of shipping visual and interaction design work in web applicationsYou are an excellent visual and written communicator, able to clearly communicate your design work and the support for your design decisionsYou have experience with advanced prototyping tools (e.
g.
Figma, Protopie, Principle, Framer, Sketch)You understand systems thinking and component-based design patternsYou give and receive feedback well, supporting and improving the work of your colleagues as well as your ownTechnical and data-heavy productsLearn by doingAdvocate for design (Work with technical SMEs as the US SME)Datadog values people from all walks of life.
