Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join a leading power generation company based in Queens, NYC. In this role, you will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for managing the month-end close process, preparing financial reporting packages, quarterly and annual financial statements, overseeing treasury operations, managing tax filings, assisting with budget preparation, coordinating audits, and handling ad-hoc reporting.
Responsibilities:
Manage the month-end close process. Prepare monthly financial reporting packages. Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements. Oversee treasury operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare and file monthly sales & use tax returns, as well as quarterly excise tax returns. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget. Manage the annual audit process with third-party auditors. Coordinate quarterly and annual tax filings with third-party tax preparers. Assist with miscellaneous filings and ad-hoc reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (Master's degree preferred). 6
years of experience in accounting and finance. CPA certification preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills. A self-motivator and leader with intellectual curiosity, eager to learn and grow independently.
