Job Description SummaryThe Program Manager for External Business acts as the single point-of-contact to assigned customers external to GE Aerospace for timely and contractually compliant execution of business demand, with intense focus on seeking satisfactory resolution of all operational and programmatic issues between GE Aerospace Research and its customers that may arise.
The Program Manager will engage with customers and drives process excellence, customer team operating rhythms, and execution to ensure success for GE Aerospace and its external business customers.
They are additionally responsible for articulating customer need and driving customer advocacy, including effective contract management, risk mitigation, mutually agreeable problem-solving, strategic engagement plans, and voice-of-customer.
This Program Manager will be directly responsible for the customer relationship between GE Aerospace Research and the GE HealthCare Technology and Innovation and GE Vernova Advanced Research Centers located in Niskayuna, NY.
Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesAs Program Manager, you will:
Serve as the single point-of-contact (POC) for all incoming business from external R&D customers, namely, GE HealthCare Technology and Innovation Center (HTIC) and GE Vernova Advanced Research Center (VARC).
Manage demand and balance capacity against available resources within Aerospace Research.
Drive operational accountability between Aerospace Research and its external R&D customers within the framework of the established Transition Service Agreements (TSAs) for HTIC and VARC.
Foster alliance between GE Aerospace Research and HTIC and VARC; ensure vitality of working relationships across the customer base; champion customer needs, urgency, and communicate general business situations to Aerospace Research.
Monitor and report on execution of key customer projects within Aerospace Research; identify and facilitate tradeoffs when required along with required documentation of decision making; ensure key customer deliverables are met.
Manage quarterly planning and allocation process for labor, line-of-balance and lab access between customers, and site-related resources within Aerospace Research on behalf of HTIC and VARC.
Drive process and digital system efforts that continuously improve the transactional efficiency and experience between the businessesAnticipate challenges and bring solutions to Aerospace Research leadership while managing expectations with customers, minimizing the escalation of issues to the Senior Leadership Team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Aerospace Research Technology Directors and functional leaders to better operate on their behalf when managing customer business.
Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in an Engineering field or Business AdministrationMinimum 10 years proven experience managing diverse business relationships, contract management, and or customer satisfaction with at least 5 years in an engineering or R&D environment.
Demonstrated skills in strategic planning, project execution, and finding mutually agreeable solutions between parties in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
Demonstrated skills in the concepting and implementation of organizational processes including documentation and driving acceptance and use of said processes.
Exceptional project management skills and cross-matrix team leadership.
Comfort with multi-tasking, self-organization, planning, and crisis management to deal with dynamic and sometimes conflicting priority setting.
Influence, facilitation, and negotiation skills; boundaryless and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.

The base pay range for this position is $148,000 - $246,000 USD, annually.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
