Responsibilities include and are not limited to the followingSupervise top-level management, clients, and tasks at the same timeTrain staff and lower-level management personnelCommunicate with clients at a certain level of understanding depending on each clientDevelop training classes and write publishable articlesProvide practical solutions to complex issues that often have conflicting parameters to resolveManage a book of businessAddress questions on advanced technical tax matters from team members and upper-level client managementStay current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impact on client engagementsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree with a preference of study in Accounting or related field9
years' experience in a similar rolePrior experience managing engagements and clientsLicensed CPA or admission to a State BarAble to work independently, but also work well with othersStrong technical and broad based advisory and client management skillsFormal mentoring relationships with all levels of staffExtensive exposure with flow-through taxation, including both partnerships & S corporationsFull understanding of the interaction between domestic and international aspects of tax.
This includes not only the structuring to minimize/avoid FWT issues, but an understanding of foreign tax forms, e.

, 1120-F, 5471, 5472, 8858, BPT & ECEP, FIRPTA, etc.
Familiarity with corporate tax that not only includes an understanding of the entire corporations and consolidations sections of the IRC but also interaction with other code sections.
Examples include E&P issues, ownership change issues, M&A issues, consolidation issues, cash / accrual issues, inventory issues, etc.
, for both the planning and resulting compliance reporting aspectsThorough understanding of the TPRsInsight into tax accounting methods and any changes related thereto, including the preparation of Form 3115.
Working knowledge of GAAP, tax basis accounting, book/tax differences, how to reconstruct poorly maintained books & records to scrub for necessary required tax information, etc.
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Taxation or Accounting5

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
