Job DescriptionAHRC NYC is looking for a Janitorial Site Supervisor to join our Manhattan team The pay rate for this position is $18 per hour.

The Janitorial Site Supervisor is a working supervisor role that is responsible for oversight of a cleaning crew working under their supervision.
Janitorial Site Supervisor is responsible to ensure that all scope of work is performed according to agreement and following work schedule.
Janitorial Site Supervisor directs workers under his supervision on what tasks they need to do and ensures that these tasks are completed.
In the event of Porter absence the Janitorial Foreman shall be required to clean all toilet facilities, stairways, corridors, hearing rooms, and classrooms throughout the building.
The Janitorial Site Supervisor will further be required to replenish all sanitary napkin, hand towels, toilet tissue, and soap dispensers.
Wipe clean and polish all brass and glasswork.
Light Fixtures, A/C vents, metal trim around doors, entrances and elevators must be dusted.
The use of a ladder may be required.
Remove debris and sweep clean all sidewalks, street gutters and parking lots when applicable.
In addition the Janitorial Site Supervisor will be required to supervise and coordinate the activities of other workers, assign tasks and inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
Issue supplies and equipment.
Resolve workers problems or refer matters to the appointed supervisor.
Train new workers, record hours worked, recommend discharge for incompetent workers, and perform other personnel duties as required.
The Janitorial Site Supervisor must be available to work a flexible schedule.
Janitorial Site Supervisor is also required to complete all required cleaning and safety paperwork including but not limited to QA forms, cleaning checklists, time sheets, building entrance checklists.
Janitorial Site Supervisor is also responsible for reporting any issues and incidents at the site top HRS management and maintaining professional and friendly relationship with customers.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop a plan-of-action to address concerns or problems at any site.
Re-enforce training and/or assist program participant to complete job tasks.
Keep communication device (provided by agency) in working condition and on during working hours e.

cell phone, radio or beeper to allow access from supervisor, employees, program participants, and customers to attend problems or requests.
Fill out written inspection forms once a month or as specified.
Be on location when new employees begin work and/or are taken to new sites/areas for the first time.
Be prepared to handle emergencies as they arise.
Responsible for on-the-job training and daily supervision of production of employees in their assigned work areas.
You must maintain payroll records as directed by the Regional Manager.
Must use efficient procedures or techniques and proper use of equipment or chemicals.
Reduce or eliminate waste.
This includes wasted time, wasted materials, and wasted supplies.
A key part of the Field Supervisor is ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner.
You must be committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
You should stress OSHA/Hazcom Regulations and HRS Safety Policy at all times.
Responsible for snow removal.
This will include actual removal of snow from the sidewalk and applying calcium chloride.
Responsible for all parking lot cleaning and landscaping services as requested by contractual agreement.
Coordinating and application of floor stripping, sealing, waxing, carpet cleaning, and other special services according to specifications.
Finally an important requirement is to maintain good relations with the all Operations Managers and other appointed staff at our contracted sites.
The Janitorial Foreman will act as a liaison between the assigned sites and H.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is requiredKnowledge of custodial practices, techniques, and equipmentFamiliarity with facilities maintenance tasksAbility to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and floor scrubbersStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standardsExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks effectivelyMust have relevant porter/janitorial experience.
Relevant supervisory/training experienceAbility to communicate with direct reportsShould be well organized and highly motivated.
