Bring yours to Block.Job DescriptionThe Compliance Governance and Reporting (CGR) team manages important components of Block s Compliance Risk Management Framework and is part of the Global Policy and Governance (GPG) team within Block Compliance. The CGR team has responsibility for the following
Responsibilities:
Policy Governance, Risk Assessment, Compliance Training, Compliance Risk Assessments, Third-party Risk Management, Issues Management, GRC tooling, and Board Reporting. As a Global Policy Lead within the CGR team, you will lead the Block Compliance Policy Team that establishes and owns the compliance policy framework and standards globally. You will help grow and evolve the Block Compliance Policy Team by setting the strategy for the team, aligning partner teams globally, and leading key programs. You have expertise in multiple compliance policy domains (risk and compliance governance, consumer protection, lending, financial crimes including AML, sanctions, etc.) and have built and managed a compliance policy governance department for global financial services companies. You will establish standards and tools to ensure scalability and growth of the function, and ensure a high-quality work product. You will build a cohesive team vision and culture, managing a small team of policy managers and analysts.Our employment model is distributed, offering the opportunity to work with teams across the world. This role can be based in any of our US offices or remotely in the United States. Flexibility to travel and work across time zones is required.You Will:
Set the Block Compliance Policy Team strategy for end-to-end document lifecycle management through the design and implementation of a holistic policy management programOversee the Compliance Policy Governance Framework and all related systems, processes, and routines to manage the creation, development, approval, and publication (or archival) of in-scope documentsLead the team, made up of managers and analysts, to support the development and scalability of the program Partner with our different policy leads (AML, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Fraud, Consumer Protection, and Lending) to build and evolve the team's foundational policies and program standards for each of these essential regulatory risk areasPartner with communications, training, and other important functions to enhance policy comprehension and adherence across the companyLead important projects with cross-functional impacts, from planning - by establishing goals, project plans, and deliverables - through execution, including the assignment of work across resources, evaluation of work quality, and senior management reporting on outcomesManage our existing document inventory and related controls to ensure adherence to Service level agreements, document hierarchy standards, periodic reviews, and all other governance framework requirements.Ensure the team improves our standards and internal processes to align with industry best practices inclusive of communication plans, intake/archival processes, writing guides/standards, quality reviews, tracking , management reporting, and standardized templateManage, resolve, and report on escalations of blockers or areas of non-compliance through existing management reportingQualificationsYou Have:

years of compliance experience in financial services, within matrixed or global organizationsExperience building a compliance policy governance program for global financial services companiesDeep expertise with policy governance frameworks and controls, inclusive of user experience design within policy libraries or repositories, policy lifecycle management software, and GRC toolingIn-depth knowledge in three or more of the following policy domains:
Consumer Protection, Lending, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Financial Crimes including AML, Sanctions.Experience managing multiple complex and large-scale projects, delivering to established timeframes5
years experience in developing teams; setting goals and working on long-term visionExperience managing and engaging at the senior leadership level, and with regulators and external partners, inclusive of executive management reporting Even better:

U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
