Senior Software Engineer

Our client is an early stage B2B SaaS start up creating software which allows their customers to make data-driven decisions around employee compensation.
They are seeking a Senior Python Engineer who specializes in API design and development, database design, microservices, and data accessibility and scalability.
Ideal candidates will have 5
years professional experience and to be considered, applicants must be based in the NYC metro area and open to daily on-site work in Manhattan.

Responsibilities:
5+ years of Python Engineering experience with an emphasis on API design and development and microservices Ability to design and implement scalable web services, applications and API sStrong problem-solving skills and capable of working on data accessibility and scalability challenges Fundamental knowledge of raw SQL and strong understanding of concepts such as database development, queries, joins, stored procedures, etc.
ideal candidates will also have production experience in PostgreSQL Prior experience working in cloud environments ideally in AWSBasic UI skills and general knowledge of React.
js Nice to have Skills:
BS in computer scienceExperience working on security / access management tasks Knowledge of AWS cloud services Start up experience, particularly in early stage environments working on small teams Compensation:
Salary is based on experience with a target of $160,000-180,000Benefits and Perks:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
