This consultant would focus on overseeing Quality Assurance processes for the bank's BSA/AML & Sanctions Program, including reviewing end-to-end processes. Responsibilities also include assessing and validating remediation efforts for issues identified in regulatory exams, internal audits, and self-assessments, as well as monitoring, tracking, and internally reporting compliance-related issues

Description


Conduct comprehensive end-to-end compliance reviews covering AML, Sanctions, KYC, Training, and Risk Assessment functions.


  • Develop detailed QA work papers outlining testing procedures and findings.
  • Produce well-crafted QA reports, highlighting compliance-related observations and suggesting industry best practices.
  • Assist in compliance activities and remediation efforts company-wide.
  • Ensure the Branch's QA program remains adaptable to U.S. regulatory changes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls managed by compliance departments.
    • Employ a risk-based sampling approach to test and validate compliance processes and internal controls.
    • Testing encompasses the Compliance Program, including BSA/AML, Sanctions, Training, and Risk Assessment.
  • Evaluate compliance staff's adherence to established procedures, including:
    • Reviewing completeness and accuracy of KYC profiles.
    • Assessing the quality of customer due diligence activities.
    • Ensuring completeness and timeliness of alert/case investigation processes and SAR filings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Profile


  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • CAMS certified is preferred
  • 5
    years within financial services with exposure to Compliance Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Testing, Financial Crime and/or Internal Audit experience within a financial organization and/or a regulatory agency
  • Strong written skills, along with being highly organized
  • Exposure to the FRBl, FFIEC, DFS, and OFAC
  • Experience accessing and writing compliance policies and procedures
  • Immediately available for work and able to work in the Midtown NYC office 5 days a week

This consultant position is offering a market hourly rate and has the ability to be a long term contract or permanent position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
