About The RoleWe provide our clients with a comprehensive suite of strategic communications services that leverage our integrated offering, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world.
Our Retail and Consumer Products sector team is growing quickly and we are looking for a Managing Director to be a key leader in driving that growth by leveraging their own network and contributing to sector development initiatives.
The ideal candidate has expertise in business development, which is underpinned by a combination of corporate reputation/corporate communications and either financial communications or crisis/issues management.
This person will both leverage their own book of business to help lead business development efforts while also handling day-to-day management of client accounts and firm initiatives.
A successful Managing Director will be responsible for bringing in business, leading and growing business with current clients, managing teams, and take a key role in pursuits.
This individual will interact with and provide communications counsel to C-suite and communications executives; develop and execute integrated communications strategies to deliver results and meet client expectations; review and draft a variety of materials for client use; and actively participate in firm development and new business pursuits to help grow the sector.
Coaching and mentoring early and mid-career colleagues is an important part of the Managing Director role to ensure all team members have the skills and tools to perform well at their level.
What You'll DoResponsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
Business Development Generate and lead new business development efforts based on an existing book of business or network of contacts you bring in Meet FTI's quantitative expectations for utilization, new business generation and account management Maintain strong relationships with clients and referral sources Identify emerging opportunities to add more value for the client and expand work into other practices Lead and participate in the generation of new business proposals and presentations Cultivate an internal and external network, and identify areas where you/the team can support the closing of proposal and delivery of client workClient Delivery Develop and lead clients' multi-stakeholder communications strategies to help position companies and executives Serve as the day-to-day client contact for multiple accounts, anticipating client needs with minimal oversight and ensuring work is delivered on-time and on-budget Oversee client budgets, business strategy, and be accountable for client account profitability Develop corporate narratives, key messages and talking points to bring our clients' stories to life Write and edit a variety of internal and external materials for clients such as strategy memos, presentations, press releases, talking points, emails, web content, etc.
, with strong attention to detail Counsel clients about industry developments, trends and issues Surface opportunities within clients that draw on additional FTI capabilities Ensure all work undertaken by FTI professionals is in line with FTI's values, Code of Ethics and the Strategic Communications Rules of Practice and lives these commitments daily.

What You Will Need To Succeed Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree Minimum 10 years of work experience, ideally at a communications agency Travel required to clients/prospects and to FTI office(s)Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated track record of business development and growth Expertise working with and a passion for retail and consumer goods companies Commercial mindset that thrives on pursuing and winning new business Interest in flexing beyond traditional corporate communications to work on and drive multidisciplinary accounts Experience leading teams, and serving as a coach/mentor for staff Superior writing, editing and researching skills Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-oriented dynamic environment with regular change Proven project management skills and the ability to proactively support/counsel key client relationship Demonstrated development of a professional network Experience with media database tools and pitching media to secure client coverage Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and WordAdditional InformationJob Family/Level:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
