Project Manager, Commerce News and Deals- Remote

Yoh is seeking a Project Manager, Commerce News and Deals for a long term contract with our client in the Media Industry!
  • This position is 100% Remote! if in New York welcome to work OnSite
  • 40 hours a week
  • $30/hr. max pay rate
  • 3-5 years experience in editorial or media

We are looking for a highly organized project manager to support the commerce news and deals team in content planning. This role will work closely with various editorial directors and strategists to support the creation of daily, monthly, and shopping event coverage plans along with creating and managing systems to organize schedules and assets for these events. This role will support multiple, well known and exciting Lifestyle brands!.
You will be responsible for coordinating across various teams to ensure news verticals have the necessary assets, documents, and data to plan content that drives strong performance towards key production and revenue goals. The position is part of our centralized Commerce team, reporting to the Client Editorial Director, and collaborates closely with editorial and cross-functional teams including growth, editorial, social, newsletter, analytics, art, and product.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Create and maintain all assets to track schedules, coverage plans, and promotion for monthly events and tentpoles
  • Communicate and serve as a liaison between teams to prepare documentation and trainings for monthly coverage and major shopping events
  • Create, manage, and streamline systems for tracking daily content promotion across brands
  • Support strategy team and editorial directors by creating monthly and event recaps, and sharing data
  • Coordinate promotional tactics with product, newsletter, distribution, and social teams and spot check/troubleshoot during tentpole events
    Work with business analytics team to request dashboards ahead of tentpole events, and organize content to ensure accurate tracking via dashboards
  • Ensure that all deadlines are met for tentpole planning across all teams, send reminders and updates
  • Communicate with brands and retailers to collect sale/promotion information to distribute to various commerce team ahead of tentpole events
  • Organize promotion support across all teams
  • Distribute weekly pacing reports across brands

Who You Are
  • 3-5 years experience in editorial or media
  • Highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise or interest in shopping and commerce
  • Ability to operate in a highly matrixed organization
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of analytics and organizational tools such as Google Analytics, AirTable, and Excel/Google Sheets
  • Experience with data visualization tools (such as Looker) is a plus
