Science Centers located in New York City provide toddlers to tweens with math instruction and STEM-based camps and classes.
The Program/Operations Coordinator reports to the Center Manager and is responsible to provide support for the oversight and management of all Launch programs.
Through a hands-on approach and an understanding of Launch programs, the Program/Operations Coordinator will work to ensure that Launch remains a leader in education enrichment.
Responsibilities Support the daily operations of Launch's program offerings.
Manage new student intake and integration process.
Communicate with parents, process monthly and semester enrollments, maintain student schedules.
Liaise with science, technology, and engineering curriculum team.
Train and manage staff of part-time instructors.
Support new business efforts.
Respond to customer inquiries targeting various program offerings.
Support outbound marketing efforts to develop interest in Launch programs.
Maintain and update social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Support processing of project materials, aid in inventory management.
Serve as an instructor for Launch's math and STEM programs.
Advance the overall mission of Launch and its programs.
Requirements Possess an appreciation and passion for education and display strong math skills.
Experience in program management, customer service, and/or education.
Highly organized; managing multiple, concurrent priorities/projects with accuracy and sense of urgency.
Ability to prioritize, organize, plan and work under own initiative.
Strong empathy, tact and diplomacy; interacts with and works cooperatively with students, parents and staff, demonstrating sensitivity and responsiveness to individual needs.
Excellent verbal communication with ability to build relationships.
Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary, including early mornings, early evenings, and some weekends.
Ability to write effective business correspondence.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs, especially MS Excel.
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Bilingual a plus.

5 hour workweek, overtime eligible for 40
