Payroll Coordinator
Description:
This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the agency employee payroll and benefits systems, The position ensures the payroll policies and files are maintained in compliance with funder, auditor, agency, and regulatory requirements.This position oversees payroll processing including timesheet processing, maintaining personnel files, managing background checks, assisting with employee benefits plans, and other Human Resources tasks as required.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Coordinates the timesheet and payroll processing on a bi-weekly basis. Manages payroll reporting including tax reporting, benefits-records administration, and payroll systems maintenance. This position develops and controls all tasks necessary to accomplish the organization's payroll processing objectives, including assisting with internal and external auditors and state and federal agencies. Collects the organization's equipment from terminated employees. Maintains a registry of current employees. Maintains personnel files that are in compliance with the standards set in the organization's personnel policies and procedures, be auditors, and by state and federal agencies. Coordinates the accumulation and use of vacations, holidays, sick days, and miscellaneous leaves of absence. Processes enrollment and termination of employees in the various employee benefits programs. Coordinates the selection, participation, and the calculation of deductions for employee benefits such as group health, life, and disability insurance premiums. Manages a variety of voluntary deductions such as TransitChek, Section 125 programs, and supplemental disability/life insurance. Participates in the collection of data for budgets, reports, and QI as requested by the Vice President, Human Resources.Requirements:
College graduate with a Bachelor's degree preferred.Knowledge of the Paylocity payroll system preferred; knowledge of ADP/Paychex and other payroll software systems is helpful. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is required.Must efficiently manage multiple tasks.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.Compensation details:
