As a quantitative trader at KCG, you will be working on interdisciplinary teams alongside other traders, quants and seasoned software engineers. The environment is collegiate and collaborative, encouraging exposure to many teams across the globe.
Job Description
The individual will be trained to use our proprietary trading models to trade profitably on major electronic exchanges, dark pools and with our firm's own client order flow. As you make observations of the market and our models, you will be expected to recognize new trading opportunities and create or help develop the algorithms that you and our other traders will use to capitalize on those opportunities to increase firm-wide profitability. The role will focus on Exchange Trade Funds (ETFs) and will require specific product knowledge.
Our traders ramp up to full trading much faster than the industry average and can easily switch later to different financial products instead of being pigeonholed in one area.
Key
Responsibilities:
Create and develop high performance, algorithmic trading models using math and statistics.
Analyze the performance of trading, algorithmic models using math and statistics.
Interpret qualitative insights and feedback from Traders in terms of math and statistics to enhance or create new models.
Execute and use trading models on major electronic exchanges to trade profitably
Key Skills / Attributes:
Comfortable with analyzing noisy data; competent dealing with ambiguity.
Able to come up with trading ideas and design overall strategies at a high level
Excellent researching skills until a powerful working solution is found or created
Extremely analytical and probabilistic mindset; Superb problem solving skills
Able to manage numerous trading development priorities with ease.
Willing to learn the intricacies of a world-class high-frequency trading floor environment and know how to contribute in a meaningful manner.
Highly inquisitive; Open-minded
Strong interpersonal communication skills; entrepreneurial minded
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or Advanced Degree in Math, Physical Sciences, Engineering
Previous work experience in financial services or quantitative trading firm.
Proven coursework in probability, statistics, and programming.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
